Job summary

Prestige Fleet Services in the Chicago area seeks experienced mobile technicians to perform on-site maintenance and repairs for Class 6-8 trucks and trailers. Our team delivers high-quality workmanship with DOT-certified technicians and flexible schedules.

You will inspect, diagnose, and repair braking, electrical, A/C, and engine components, manage parts, and complete DOT forms, with on-site service and a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred.
• Must have valid driver's license.
• Ability to work extended and irregular hours including weekends and holidays.
• 2 years of experience performing federal annual inspections and brake inspections.
• Must possess proper tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, such as brakes, diagnostics, A/C systems, electrical systems, engine components, exhaust systems, lift-gates, tires.
• Schedule and oversee maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Repair/Replace vehicle/trailer components.
• Open and Close repair orders on a company-issued device.
• Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and other documentation in a timely fashion.
