Job summary

GTG Peterbilt – Great Bend is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician to travel to client sites providing maintenance, repair, and diagnostic services for diesel vehicles and equipment. You will handle engine, brake, cooling system services, and DOT inspections, communicating status to customers and management.

Responsibilities include performing scheduled repairs, maintaining inventory, and ensuring vehicle readiness across varied customer sites.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years' experience with diesel truck and trailer repair, maintenance, and diagnostics.
Minimum DOT Inspection Certified (additional schooling and certifications preferred).
Must provide sufficient tool inventory to perform job duties.
Current CDL or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
Clean driving record and pre-employment drug screening.
Proficient computer skills and strong customer service abilities.
Must be able to work independently and communicate with team.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled repairs, maintenance, and services as instructed by the Service Manager.
Maintain vehicle condition by listening to operator concerns.
Conduct CVI and DOT inspections.
Diagnose and repair engine issues and electrical systems.
Repair mechanical/electrical malfunctions and replace basic parts.
Verify serviceability by test drives and adjustments.
Communicate with customers and Service Management on status.
Maintain service truck and inventory; manage paperwork.
