Job summary

Dobbs Truck Group is seeking a Diesel/Service Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on commercial trucks and equipment from a mobile service truck, diagnosing issues and ensuring top quality work.

Candidates should have 4 years of dealer experience, a valid CDL, and the ability to work with minimal supervision; we offer competitive benefits, paid leave, and growth opportunities within our nationwide network.

Qualifications

• 4 years dealer experience as Diesel/Service Technician
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and MVR abstract
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and after-hours flexibility

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs in estimated time per industry standards
• Grow and maintain the customer base
• Perform DOT inspections and diagnose/repair electrical, engine, HVAC, and powertrain issues
• Utilize diagnostic equipment and publications to determine root cause and solution
• Maintain service truck, tools, and parts inventory
• Provide thorough documentation of repairs and customer communication
• Respond to customer requests and foster relationships
• Flexibility to be available after hours and alternate days
