Job summary

Epika Fleet Services, Inc. is seeking experienced fleet technicians for our Fleet Mobile Maintenance team in Birmingham, AL. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Class 8 tractors and trailers on-site, perform preventative maintenance, and document repairs for billing.

We offer a M-F schedule with after-hours bonuses, paid weekly, uniforms provided, and a path for growth. Candidates must have 5+ years of commercial repair experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift 100+

Qualifications

• 5+ years of verified experience repairing commercial tractors and trailers.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to lift 100+ pounds.
• Basic computer skills to submit repairs.
• Ability to read and write to complete repair orders.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Class 8 tractors and trailers.
• Write detailed work orders and perform mobile road calls or in-yard work.
• Provide quality customer service.
• Inspect and repair tractor/trailer systems and components.
• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair our customers Class 8 Commercial Tractors and Trailers
• Writing detailed work orders - working Mobile Road Calls and/or In Yard.
• Provide quality customer service
• Inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components
• Performing preventative maintenance measures on fleet semi-trucks and trailers
• Maintaining hubs and axles and adjusting or replacing them when required
• Inspecting, servicing, and replacing tractor and trailer parts, including tires
• Checking and repairing the brake, electrical, and hydraulic system
• Testing all systems and equipment for performance issues
• Ensuring that trailers meet the U.S. Department of Transportation's road safety requirements.
• Compiling inspection reports, documenting repairs, and reporting all findings to management.
• Responding as soon as possible to client queries.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE:

• 5+ years of verified experience of Commercial Tractor and Trailer repair experience.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift 100+ pounds.
• Basic Computer Skills to submit repairs for billing.
• Follow oral and written instructions to complete daily tasks.
• Basic reading and writing skills to complete customer repair orders.

WHAT WILL HELP YOU STAND OUT:

• Experience with welding, certification a plus.
• High School Diploma or equivalent, Technical school degree, a plus.
