Job Overview

Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II. Responsibilities include performing licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, diagnostics, and more. Responsibilities

1. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and repairs on vehicles in a mobile environment.
2. Conduct minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment, including electrical, brake, cooling systems, and engines.
3. Diagnose and repair equipment issues using test instruments and road testing.
4. Manage parts inventory and maintain company-issued service vehicle.
5. Document work performed and communicate effectively with clients and management.
6. Comply with safety and environmental policies, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possession of necessary hand tools.
• Ability to obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Successful completion of DOT physical and background checks.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• At least 21 years old due to interstate commerce regulations.
