Kenworth Sales Company in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a Mobile Service Technician to travel to customer locations and provide maintenance, repair, and diagnostic services for gas/diesel vehicles. Will work in a company shop when needed and/or when mobile work is not dispatched.

The role requires 3+ years of diesel truck experience, own tools, and a clean driver’s license; CDL preferred. Benefits include comprehensive health and dental insurance, FSAs, 401(k) with match, and paid leave.

Competenze

• Ability to read, write and comprehend English instructions and information.
• High School Diploma or the equivalent.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• Must have valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Valid CDL is preferred.
• Must provide own tools.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with diesel truck and trailer repair, maintenance, and diagnostics.
• Dealership experience preferred.
• Must be able to sufficiently perform engine diagnostics with laptop/software.

Mansioni

• Receive daily work assignments and customer schedules from the Service Advisors and Service Manager.
• Perform instructed and scheduled repair, maintenance, and service as needed on various vehicles and equipment as instructed by the Service Advisors and Service Manager.
• Travel to customer locations to provide maintenance, repair, and diagnostic services to include but not limited to engines, transmission, differential, brake components, wheel end, air components, electrical, HVAC, after treatment operation and components.
• Communicate with customers in a professional manner on job status and schedule status.
• Communicate regularly with Service Manager on job status and schedule status.
• Maintain service truck in a clean, organized, and professional condition.
• Possess general knowledge of vehicle warranty requirements. Ability to distinguish and maintain used parts for warranty purposes.
• Stock and maintain service truck inventory, tool collection, and complete all necessary paperwork daily
• Adhere to all traffic laws while operating company provided service vehicle, which are monitored by GPS for safety and compliance purposes.
