Mobile Fleet Diesel Technician Role
- Perform onsite service for fleet breakdowns.
- Perform emergency roadside calls.
- Conduct onsite scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs.
- Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using testing instruments such as handheld computers and pressure gauges.
- Use basic hand tools, precision instruments, power tools, welding equipment, and jacks.
- Maintain company-issued service truck and conduct safety checks.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Diesel Technician.
- Proficiency in and ability to obtain certificates for DOT Inspection and Air Brakes repairs.
- Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with customers and drivers.
- Proficiency in using cell phones, navigation apps, and email for documentation and communication.
- Willingness to work varied schedules outdoors at customer yards, locations, and roadways.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and demonstrate initiative.
- Positive attitude, safety-consciousness, and self-motivation.
- Must provide own adequate hand tools.
