Mobile Fleet Diesel Technician Role

• Perform onsite service for fleet breakdowns.
• Perform emergency roadside calls.
• Conduct onsite scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs.

• Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using testing instruments such as handheld computers and pressure gauges.

• Use basic hand tools, precision instruments, power tools, welding equipment, and jacks.

• Maintain company-issued service truck and conduct safety checks.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Diesel Technician.
• Proficiency in and ability to obtain certificates for DOT Inspection and Air Brakes repairs.

• Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with customers and drivers.
• Proficiency in using cell phones, navigation apps, and email for documentation and communication.

• Willingness to work varied schedules outdoors at customer yards, locations, and roadways.

• Ability to work independently, multi-task, and demonstrate initiative.

• Positive attitude, safety-consciousness, and self-motivation.
• Must provide own adequate hand tools.
