Job summary

Kooner Fleet Management Solutions is seeking a Mobile Mechanic/Technician to perform on-site preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs for light and medium-duty vehicles. You’ll work in a field setting with a company vehicle and tools, under a schedule and safety-focused environment.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of hands-on auto or diesel tech experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work outdoors. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and career growth.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of hands-on auto or diesel tech experience working on light to medium duty vehicles.
• Strong communication skills for customer and driver interaction.
• Ready for outdoor work in all weather conditions; owns hand tools or is able to bring them.
• Independent, dependable and safety-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite preventative maintenance and DOT inspections on light/medium duty vehicles in a mobile field environment.
• Handle emergency road service calls with urgency and professionalism.
• Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service or maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems.
• Use handheld computers and tools to identify issues and document repairs.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs.
• Road test vehicles to ensure repairs meet quality standards.
• Source parts through trusted vendors and manage supplies with a company truck.
• Take ownership of a company-issued service truck and perform pre/post-trip inspections.
