Job summary

MaineGuide is hiring a Mobile and On Site Diesel Mechanic to service our fleet and third-party equipment both in the shop and in the field. We service diesel trucks, construction and agricultural equipment, generators and compressors with a focus on quality and reliability.

You will use ShopController software and must be comfortable with technology. Base pay starts at $44/hr with potential bonuses for diesel certification, Class A/B CDL, and ASE certifications, along with a strong benefits

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years experience.
• Must be organized and motivated to help run a first-rate repair shop and committed to excellence.
• Comfortable using ShopController and other electronic tools.

Responsibilities

• Hydraulic repair, including cylinder seals, fabricating hydraulic lines, repairing pumps and hydraulic brakes.
• Welding and fabrication of structural components.
• Diagnosis using diesel scanner laptop and similar tools.
• Air system repair including air lines and air brakes.
• Research manufacturer specifications and interval maintenance.
• Research parts and supplies for purchase (parts) orders.
• Other duties as requested.
