Headquartered in Indianapolis, Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is one of the largest fleet maintenance companies in the country, providing on-site mobile maintenance and repair services nationwide.

The Mobile Diesel Technician - Bus Mechanic - Level II will perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, and diagnostics on trucks and buses, under supervision. The role involves learning advanced skills, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring high performance metrics.

Responsibilities include:

1. Perform scheduled maintenance, DOT inspections, and repairs on various vehicles.
2. Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues.
3. Manage inventory, document work, and communicate effectively with clients and management.
4. Operate tools and equipment safely, and adhere to safety policies and regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possession of necessary hand tools.
• Ability to obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Valid driver's license, ability to pass DOT physical and background checks, and meet age requirements.

Preferred Certifications:

• ASE T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, T8 certifications.

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and physical endurance skills.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and perform physical labor.

Compensation & Benefits:

Hourly pay ranges from $26.06 to $39.13, with potential bonuses and incentives. Benefits include paid time off, holidays, uniforms, equipment, and career development opportunities.
