Job Title: Mobile Diesel Technician Level II

The Mobile Diesel Technician Level II will perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, and diagnostics on trucks and trailers. This role involves advanced diagnostics and repairs under supervision, with ongoing learning of mechanical skills and diagnostic techniques. The Technician must comply with company policies and meet performance metrics.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on various vehicles in a mobile environment.
2. Conduct minor adjustments and repairs on truck systems such as electrical, brake, cooling, engines, transmissions, and more.
3. Diagnose and repair equipment issues using test instruments and road testing.
4. Manage parts inventory and document work thoroughly using company tools and applications.
5. Ensure vehicle safety and maintenance standards are met through regular inspections.
6. Communicate effectively with clients and team members, managing multiple tasks efficiently.
7. Complete all documentation accurately and timely, including DOT forms.
8. Operate and maintain company vehicles safely, conducting safety checks and inspections.
9. Adhere to safety, health, environmental policies, and federal regulations.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years' related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Necessary hand tools for the job.
• ASE T8 certification within 18 months; valid DOT medical card or exemption.
• At least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass DOT physical and background checks.

Preferred Certifications:

• ASE T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, T8, and 608/609 certifications.

Hourly pay ranges from $31.30 to $46.97, with eligibility for additional incentives.
