Job Description: Mobile Diesel Technician Level II

Fleet Services, a Cox Automotive Company, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II. We are a leading provider of on-site mobile maintenance and repair services nationwide, supporting light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks and trailers. Our services include scheduled maintenance, unscheduled repairs, accident repair, painting, and refurbishment, supported by a 24/7 call center and over 50 service centers across the country.

Responsibilities

1. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on vehicles in a mobile environment.
2. Conduct minor adjustments and repairs on various truck systems including electrical, brake, cooling, engine, transmission, and more.
3. Diagnose and repair vehicle malfunctions using test instruments and road tests.
4. Manage parts inventory and perform safety checks and inspections on company vehicles.
5. Communicate effectively with clients and team members, document work accurately, and use tools and diagnostic equipment.
6. Complete all documentation and forms timely and accurately.
7. Work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain productivity within standard repair times.
8. Adhere to safety, health, and environmental policies, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.

Minimum Requirements

1. High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of related experience or equivalent education/certification with 5 years of experience.
2. Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary for the job.
3. Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
4. Pass DOT physical and background screening, hold valid driver’s license, and maintain a clean driving record.
5. Be at least 21 years old due to interstate regulations.

Hourly pay ranges from $31.30 to $46.97, with eligibility for bonuses and incentives.
