Headquartered in Indianapolis, Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is one of the largest fleet maintenance companies in the country, providing on-site mobile maintenance and repair services nationwide.

Role Overview: The Mobile Diesel Technician Level II will perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs on trucks and trailers, with the ability to perform advanced diagnostics under supervision. The role requires compliance with safety and environmental policies and achieving performance metrics.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on various vehicles in a mobile environment.
  • Diagnose and repair truck equipment, including electrical, brake, cooling systems, engines, transmissions, and more.
  • Test and inspect equipment, road test vehicles, and document work performed accurately.
  • Manage parts inventory, operate company vehicle safely, and communicate effectively with clients and management.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possess necessary hand tools and obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
  • Must pass DOT physical and background checks; valid driver's license required.
Preferred Certifications:
  • ASE T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, 608/609 certifications.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and physical stamina.
Benefits & Compensation:

Hourly pay ranges from $31.30 to $46.97, with benefits starting DAY ONE, including health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and more.
