Fleet Services by Cox Automotive, headquartered in Indianapolis, is one of the largest fleet maintenance companies in the country. We provide on-site mobile maintenance and repair services nationwide, servicing light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks and trailers, along with operating over 50 service centers offering accident repair, painting, and heavy mechanical repair.

We are currently hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II. This role involves performing licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, and diagnostics, with opportunities to perform more advanced repairs under supervision. The Technician II will continue to develop mechanical and diagnostic skills, adhering to company policies and performance standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform scheduled maintenance, DOT inspections, and repairs on various vehicles in a mobile environment.
• Conduct minor adjustments and repairs on truck components such as electrical, brake, cooling, engine, transmission, and more.
• Diagnose malfunctions using test instruments, road test vehicles, and determine solutions.
• Manage parts inventory and maintain company-issued service vehicle, including safety checks and inspections.
• Document work performed and communicate effectively with clients and management.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years' related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possession of necessary hand tools.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Valid DOT medical card or ability to obtain one; pass DOT physical and background checks.
• At least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Preferred Certifications:

• ASE T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, T8/609 certifications.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and physical ability to perform tasks.

Compensation ranges from $26.06 to $39.13 per hour, with potential additional incentives. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
