We are currently hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II. The Technician will perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, and diagnostics, under supervision. The role involves learning advanced mechanical skills and diagnostics, adhering to company policies, and achieving performance metrics.

DUTIES:

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on various vehicles in a mobile environment.
• Conduct minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment, including electrical, brake, cooling systems, engines, transmissions, and more.
• Diagnose malfunctions using test instruments, test vehicles, and listen to equipment to identify issues.
• Manage parts inventory, operate company vehicles safely, and conduct safety checks.
• Communicate effectively with clients, prioritize tasks, document work, and complete all forms accurately and timely.
• Use hand tools, diagnostic equipment, welding tools, and lift equipment.
• Maintain a high level of productivity, work independently, and ensure safety and environmental compliance.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma/GED with 5 years’ experience or equivalent education and experience combination.
• Possess necessary hand tools.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Preferred: HM 183 Tanker training, 608/609 certifications, and DOT medical card.
• Must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid driver’s license, and pass DOT background and physical screening.

Certifications to Obtain within 18 Months:

• ASE T8 (PMI) and 608/609 certifications.

Preferred Certifications:

• ASE T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, T8, L1.
