Qualifications

Position: Mobile Diesel Technician Level II

The Mobile Diesel Technician Level II is responsible for licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, diagnostics, and other duties. This role involves performing advanced diagnostics and repairs under supervision, continually learning new skills, and maintaining high performance standards.

DUTIES
  1. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (“PM”), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on various vehicles in a mobile environment.
  2. Conduct minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment, including electrical, brake, cooling systems, engines, transmissions, and more.
  3. Diagnose and repair vehicle malfunctions using test instruments and road testing.
  4. Manage parts inventory and perform safety and pre-/post-trip vehicle inspections.
  5. Communicate effectively with clients and team members, document work, and upload images and reports.
  6. Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental policies, and regulations such as OSHA, EPA, and DOT.
  7. Maintain the company vehicle and tools, and manage work schedules independently.
REQUIREMENTS
  1. High School Diploma/GED with 3 years’ related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Possession of necessary hand tools.
  3. Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
  4. Must pass DOT physical and background checks; valid driver’s license required.
  5. Minimum age of 21 years due to interstate regulations.
  6. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
CERTIFICATIONS
  • Required: ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
  • Preferred: ASE T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, 608/609 certifications.
