Position Overview

We are hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II. You will perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, and diagnostics, under supervision, while continuing to develop advanced mechanical skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on various vehicles in the field.
2. Conduct minor adjustments and repairs on truck systems such as electrical, brakes, cooling, engines, transmissions, and more.
3. Diagnose and repair equipment using test instruments and road tests.
4. Manage parts inventory and document work accurately using company tools and apps.
5. Operate company vehicles safely, conduct safety checks, and perform daily inspections.
6. Engage effectively with clients and support teams, prioritize tasks, and maintain productivity.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED plus 3 years’ related experience, or equivalent education and experience.
• Own a set of required hand tools.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Pass DOT background screening and physical; valid DOT medical card preferred.
• At least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and clean MVR.

Certifications & Skills

Must obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months; preferred ASE certifications include T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, T608/609. Skills include effective communication, problem-solving, physical ability to perform labor, and use of diagnostic tools.
