Job summary

Rush Truck Centers is looking for a Union Mobile Diesel Mechanic to service client vehicles at customer locations and outside shop bays. This role emphasizes strong customer service and hands-on maintenance of tractors, trailers, and trucks, including inspections, lube/oil changes, and small repairs.

Most work occurs at customer sites, with occasional duties in the main shop. A high school diploma, trade school completion, 3–4 years of mechanical experience, and a valid driver’s license are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of trade school.
• 3–4 years mechanical experience.
• Must possess a current and valid driver license with a clean driving record as per company insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties at customer sites or outside the company facility.
• Repair and maintain customer vehicles including DOT inspections, lube and oil changes, and minor repairs on tractors, trailers and trucks.
• Maintain Mobile Department vehicles and truck inventory.
• Record information on vehicles and complete inspection forms.
• When mobile work is unavailable, perform duties in the main shop.
