Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, including brakes, diagnostics, A/C, electrical, engine, exhaust, after-treatment, lift-gates, tires, etc.
• Manage maintenance schedules, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Repair or replace vehicle and trailer components.
• Document work orders electronically.
• Manage parts inventory and obtain parts from vendors.
• Complete DOT and other required forms accurately and promptly.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Self-motivated with strong organization skills.
• Experience with electronic work order processing.
• 2 years in federal inspections and brake inspections.
• Basic computer skills and proper tools.

Preferred Skills

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certifications, welding experience, CDL are a plus.

Working Conditions

• Outdoor work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat/cold and humidity.
