To maintain company equipment in accordance with company standards, while maximizing utilization and uptime with a focus on company cost objectives.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Capable of performing most major repairs with limited guidance or supervision
  • Repair equipment in the most effective manner with a focus on quality and cost control
  • Perform effective diagnostic routines that identifies root cause and determine best repair method
  • Provide mentoring and training to less experienced technicians
  • Conduct all repairs in a manner that emphasizes personal and coworker safety
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience
  • Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results
  • Able to promote a culture of trust and safety.

Qualifications And Education Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in computer based maintenance systems
  • Vendor sponsored training in major vehicle components

Working Conditions

This position will be required to work in a shop environment in which the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration, heat and cold, and increased levels of noise

  • Constantly positions oneself to operate, inspect, and move up to 60 pounds
  • manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard on a daily basis
  • detect, recognize and assess printed text and hand written documents
  • be able to communicate and exchange accurate information.
