Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a Road Service Technician who will travel to job sites and plant locations to maintain diesel trucks, mixers, and heavy equipment, performing preventive maintenance and on-site repairs.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and stay current with industry techniques while upholding safety standards in diverse environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as a Service Technician or Diesel Mechanic preferred.
• Valid driver\'s license; CDL preferred.
• Willingness to travel daily and work independently at remote locations.

Responsibilities

• Travel to job sites and plant locations to perform routine maintenance, inspections, and emergency repairs on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in the field using diagnostic tools and your technical expertise.
• Rebuild, replace, or repair major components of diesel engines on-site as needed.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, operations, and plant teams to coordinate service calls and minimize downtime.
• Maintain a well-organized service vehicle stocked with tools, parts, safety equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures while working independently at remote locations.
• Accurately document all maintenance and repair work performed in the field.
• Stay current on diesel engine technology and repair techniques.
