Job summary

CS Truck & Trailer Repair in Kennesaw, GA is seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Diesel Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join an experienced team. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair trucks and trailers, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure DOT compliance.

Experience with welding is a plus. Must provide own tools and work well in a collaborative shop environment. Competitive hourly pay with benefits and growth potential in a locally owned company.

Qualifications

• 5+ years tractor-trailer mechanic experience preferred.
• Follow oral and written instructions to complete daily tasks.
• Basic reading and writing skills to complete customer repair orders.
• Basic computer skills to submit repairs for billing.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy duty diesel trucks and trailers.
• Provide quality customer service.
• Inspect vehicles and repair bodies, systems, and components
• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet trucks and trailers.
• Assemble/disassemble engines and clean fuel tanks.
• Maintain hubs and axles and replace as required.
• Inspect and service trailer parts including tires.
• Check and repair braking, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Test all systems for performance issues.
• Ensure trailers meet DOT safety requirements.
• Prepare inspection reports and communicate findings to management.
• Respond to client queries in person or by phone.
