Job summary

Compass Minerals is seeking a Fueler to support plant operations by fueling and lubing mobile equipment, and performing minor maintenance. The role emphasizes safety, daily reporting, and teamwork with operators and mechanics.

Responsibilities include operating a fuel truck, conducting on-shift checks, and ensuring equipment readiness for service on a 12-hour rotating schedule. A valid driver’s license and high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold/maintain a valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Four years of applicable experience including at least two years at GSL to gain working knowledge of GSL operations, procedures and equipment.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook and Access is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate fuel truck and other heavy mobile equipment following safety procedures.
• Fuel equipment and perform daily checks to ensure operability.
• Communicate with operators and mechanics to repair mobile equipment.
• Maintain neat and accurate daily fuel reports and logs.
• Record hour meters and locations of equipment serviced.
• Complete tasks on a rotating twelve hour shift from days to nights.
