Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Mobile Equipment Mechanic to support the Asphalt Division in Clinton, MD. You will diagnose, repair and maintain diesel engines and heavy mobile equipment, while performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting to keep paving equipment safe and productive.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a CDL Class B with endorsements, and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Travel is daily, and safety is a priority in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• We require a diesel/heavy equipment mechanic with hands-on experience.
• Must have CDL Class B with endorsements and ability to operate manual/automatic transmissions.
• Minimum 3 years of diesel/heavy equipment/mechanic experience.
• Daily travel is required and you will work on asphalt division equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and heavy equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on asphalt paving equipment.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Conduct engine tune-ups, oil changes, and filter replacements.
• Keep accurate repair records and service logs.
• Respond to breakdowns with field repairs at job sites.
• Adhere to safety policies and minimize downtime with operators.
