Job summary

Palmer Trucks in Louisville, KY seeks a Diesel Technician Mobile Service Technician to diagnose and repair heavy and medium‑duty trucks at customer locations. This is not shop or road side work; the Mobile Technician will perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs at client sites.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, diagnostic testing, determining repair actions, using computerized equipment, recording work orders, and testing components by driving vehicles before and after service.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of repair order processing software and basic computer skills are required.

Description

The primary function of the Diesel Technician Mobile Service Technician is to diagnose and complete repairs on heavy and medium-duty trucks, not in a shop setting. The mobile technician will do maintenance and repair jobs at our customer locations. This is not Road Side Work. The tasks will include updates, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, batteries, part replacement, brakes, and air conditioning repairs.

Diesel Technician Mobile Service Technician Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform recommended routine maintenance procedures.

Diesel Technician Mobile Service Technician Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Position requires the ability to operate motor vehicles and have safe driving record. Current Commercial Driver's License is preferred but not required.

This position is with an immediate opening start date and will allow for the proper notice for existing employer.
