Job summary

Rockbridge Area Health Center seeks a full-time Dental Assistant to join our Dental Team. The position offers $18.20 - $20.00/hour and a 4/10 schedule, with opportunities to support our mobile dental program and occasional work at our Buena Vista location.

You will assist the dentist and dental hygienist in delivering primary dental care, while sterilizing, preparing, maintaining and inventorying dental instruments and supplies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support Certification required at time of hire.
• Completion of Accelerated Dental Assisting Program or prior Dental Assisting experience required.
• DANB Certification preferred.
• X-Ray Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist and dental hygienist in the direct provision of primary care dental services.
• Sterilize, prepare, maintain and inventory control of dental instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Support the mobile dental program and occasional work at the Buena Vista location.
