Job summary

Rockbridge Area Health Center seeks a full-time Dental Assistant to join our Dental Team. The position offers $18.20 - $20.00/hour and a 4/10 schedule, with opportunities to support our mobile dental program and occasional work at our Buena Vista location.

You will assist the dentist and dental hygienist in delivering primary dental care, while sterilizing, preparing, maintaining and inventorying dental instruments and supplies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support Certification required at time of hire.
• Completion of Accelerated Dental Assisting Program or prior Dental Assisting experience required.
• DANB Certification preferred.
• X-Ray Certification preferred.

As a Dental Assistant, you will be an active participant in the mobile dental program and assist in the administration and maintenance of an efficiently operated clinic. Your day will consist of assisting the dentist and dental hygienist in the direct provision of primary care dental services to patients. Responsibilities also include the sterilization, preparation, maintenance and inventory control of dental instruments, equipment and supplies. You will also be part of Rockbridge Area Health Center's mobile dental program, which promotes oral health throughout our community. You will also occasionally work in our Buena Vista location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is Required
• Basic Life Support Provider Certification at the time of hire is Required
• Completion of Accelerated Dental Assisting Program or previous Dental Assisting experience is Required
• Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) Certification is Preferred
• X-Ray Certification is Preferred
