Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist for our New Mobile CT Unit in Augusta, GA. The role involves performing CT procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain ALARA principles.
• Disinfect and maintain rooms and equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and two patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures and prep using AIDET to reduce patient anxiety and ensure comfort and safety.
• Provide age-appropriate care and assist during contrast administration when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, restock crash cart and lifesupport equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflow to meet expected timeframes and support department flow.
