Job summary

Fann Contracting, Inc., Northern Arizona’s leading heavy-civil contractor, seeks a Crusher Mechanic's Assistant in Prescott, AZ. The role maintains and repairs mobile crushing plants; work is safety-sensitive with day/evening shifts and potential overnight travel within Arizona. CDL preferred; CDL Medical Card required within first month.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of technical/mechanical repair experience with mobile crushers, asphalt hot plants and screens.
• Must be able to fabricate, weld, use cutting torch and other metal working tools.
• Repair knowledge of heavy equipment such as loaders and trucks is helpful.
• Computer literacy with MSHA/OSHA training is necessary.
• Logical troubleshooting skills and ability to isolate problems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, diagrams and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Must safely work under MSHA regulations and company drug testing policies.
• Tools are provided but you may need to have some of your own basic tools.
• Documents system problems and preventive maintenance schedule in MSHA site log.
• Escalate problem solving by communicating with Lead Mechanic and Superintendents.
• Calmly handles problems in high-pressure situations.
• Assist with regular mobilization/relocation of Crusher Plants.
