Job summary

Fann Contracting, Inc., a Northern Arizona heavy-civil contractor, is seeking an experienced Highway Asphalt Milling Machine Operator to join our team. This full-time role offers competitive pay, year-round hours, a substantial benefits package including a company vehicle, and opportunities for advancement.

The successful candidate will supervise and train crew, operate milling equipment, and travel within Arizona as required.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and clean MVR.
• Experience operating milling machines and heavy equipment.
• Overtime and travel within Arizona may be required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, lead and train crew members on milling operations.
• Operate milling machine and other heavy equipment safely.
• Travel within Arizona as required to and from jobsites.
• Oversee and execute milling projects from start to finish.
• Coordinate daily activities with Project Superintendent.
• Follow safety practices per company policies.
• Perform routine maintenance on mill and equipment.
• Welding skills for making repairs.
• Coordinate with trucking division for milling haul trucks.
• Calculate quantities & time required to complete projects.
• Document issues with equipment and subs.
• Prepare reports using word, Excel & email.
• Set up and mobilize milling machinery to/from job.
