Job summary

Thresholds seeks a Crisis Worker for its Mobile Crisis Response Team in Chicago. The role covers responding to mental health crises in Uptown, Lakeview, and North Center, providing immediate safety assessments, and coordinating with peers to support individuals in need.

You will document services, offer follow-up, and engage in ongoing professional development within a supportive team culture. This position requires weekend availability and on-site work.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a high school diploma or GED with 5 years of supervised clinical experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or Social Work.
• Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field and 2 years of supervised clinical experience.
• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Respond to mental health crises in designated Chicago neighborhoods.
• Conduct quick safety assessments and determine the needed response.
• Connect callers to services or providers or arrange face-to-face interventions.
• Partner with a Peer Engagement Specialist to visit callers at home or in the community.
• Provide follow-up and document services.
• Engage in professional development during downtime.
