Job summary

People USA is seeking a Senior Social Worker to lead the New Rochelle Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT). The role provides day-to-day clinical leadership, guidance, and support to clinicians in crisis responses, ensuring trauma-informed, person-centered care and consistent practice across shifts.

The position requires LMSW certification and 2–3 years in crisis intervention, with travel within Westchester County and a Monday–Friday day schedule. Salary is $80,000 per year, salaried and exempt.

Qualifications

• LMSW certification required.
• Minimum 2–3 years of clinical crisis intervention experience.
• Strong skills in risk assessment, crisis de-escalation, and clinical judgment.
• Experience in mobile crisis, community-based services, or emergency response preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within Westchester County.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary clinical point of contact for the New Rochelle MCRT team.
• Provide real-time clinical guidance during crisis responses, including risk assessment, safety planning, and de-escalation strategies.
• Support clinicians in determining dispositions, referrals, and follow-up needs.
• Assist with clinical decision-making for complex or high-acuity cases.
• Participate in field responses to support clinicians or manage high-risk situations.
• Model trauma-informed, culturally responsive engagement with individuals and families.
• Ensure clinical consistency across shifts and team members.
• Support the Program Director in daily operations and team coordination.
• Maintain communication with the Program Director and other MCRT leads across Yonkers and Mt. Vernon.
