Job summary

Network180 seeks a Mobile Crisis Response Clinician to provide immediate intervention within a community-based crisis response team serving Kent County and Grand Rapids. Candidates must hold a Masters or higher in a relevant field and possess or be eligible for Michigan licensure within three months of hire.

The role requires on-call availability 24/7, a valid drivers license, and the ability to work in a multicultural setting.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Counseling Psychology, or a Doctorate in Psychology.
  • Licensed or eligible for license in Michigan within 3 months of hire.
  • Strong assessment, ethics, and professional standards knowledge.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Mobile Crisis Response Clinician to provide intervention services as a member of a community-based crisis response team serving clients and families in Kent County.

This position is 40 hours a week, working 10:00am to 8:00pm on a four-week rotating schedule. The schedule includes working one weekend a month and has holiday requirements. This assignment is in person at 790 Fuller Ave NE Grand Rapids, Michigan 49503, and within the Kent County community.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work , Counseling, or Counseling Psychology, or a Doctorate in Psychology
  • Limited or full licensure in the State of Michigan as a licensed master social worker or professional counselor. Full licensure in the State of Michigan as a licensed marriage and family therapist, or Full licensure in the State of Michigan as a psychologist; OR be eligible for a limited license as stated above and obtain that licensure within three (3) months of hire.
  • Thorough working knowledge of the practices and principles of psychological, emotional, and sociological assessment and diagnosis.
  • Thorough working knowledge of professional ethics and standards of practice.
  • Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, database management, and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating clearly and concisely in stressful situations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and skills and capabilities of bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities.
  • Available for on-call services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (on a rotating basis).
  • For Network180 Mobile Crisis Response Clinician positions: Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use.
  • For GRPD Co-response and Kent County Co-response positions: Complete and successfully pass an extensive and thorough law enforcement background investigation and interview.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Full Licensure in the State of Michigan as a licensed master social worker, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, or psychologist.
  • One year of experience in community-based crisis intervention.
  • Specialized training and at least one year of experience in the examination, evaluation, and treatment of minors and their families.
  • Credentialed through the Michigan Certificate Board for Addiction Professionals.
  • Three years of post-graduate experience.
  • Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued.
