Job summary

Jackson County Mental Health is expanding its Mobile Crisis Response Team to provide trauma-informed, client-centered crisis support and case management for individuals with chronic mental illness. The role includes assessments, referrals, scheduling, and maintaining records in a community-based setting.

The position requires strong de-escalation skills, knowledge of community resources, and the ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, in the field and office.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field or 4 years relevant experience.
  • QMHA certification with Oregon MHACBO required at time of hire.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Willingness to pass background check and pre-employment drug screen.
  • Bilingual Spanish speakers encouraged; differential pay available.

Responsibilities

  • Assess client needs and goals; provide individualized case management.
  • Gather information, determine eligibility, and refer to services; schedule appointments and transport clients.
  • Maintain complete records of activities and treatment progress.
  • Conduct home visits; provide counseling, skills training, outreach and support.
  • Coordinate with caregivers and community resources; advocate for clients.
