Job summary

Riverbend Community Mental Health in New Hampshire is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to join our Mobile Crisis Team, using lived experience to support individuals in behavioral health crises and connect them with resources.

You will work with clinicians, first responders, and community partners to provide advocacy, hope, and recovery-focused guidance, travel across the catchment area, and help transform crisis into opportunities for recovery.

Qualifications

• Lived experience and willingness to share one’s recovery journey.
• Peer Support Certification endorsed by the State of New Hampshire, or willingness to pursue certification.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
• Travel throughout Riverbend’s catchment area to various towns and sites as required.
• Training in crisis intervention as a Peer Support Specialist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be a Voice of Hope by supporting individuals in active psychiatric crises.
• Collaborate on the Front Lines with a multidisciplinary team to stabilize high‑pressure situations.
• Create Better Outcomes by connecting neighbors to immediate, community‑based care.
• Advocate & Empower individuals to pursue long-term recovery and stability.
