Job summary

SAFY in Aurora, CO seeks a full-time Peer Specialist (Mobile Crisis) to support children, adolescents, and adults in crisis. You will assist Mobile Crisis Teams, coordinate resources, and help with case management in the Denver Metro area.

Qualifications include high school diploma, peer support certification, and experience; bachelor’s degree preferred. The role offers robust benefits and opportunities for professional development within SAFY.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Peer Support Certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy or related field preferred.
• At least one year of experience as a Peer Specialist, two years preferred.
• ICRC Certified Peer or Family Specialist or will be certified by deadline.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to Mobile Crisis Team during assessments/evaluations in community settings.
• Assess client behavioral health status and provide evidence-based intervention strategies.
• Offer telephone and short-term face-to-face interventions to stabilize clients in crisis.
• Perform non-clinical tasks to assist clients in recovery alongside Mobile Crisis Responders.
• Share lived experience to help clients set goals and build self-empowerment.
• Assist in connecting clients to inner strength and motivation during challenges.
• Document all patient contacts and clinical information.
• Support Mobile Crisis team with community outreach, resources, and education.
