Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Recovery Support Specialist to join the Mobile Crisis Response Team in DeKalb, IL. This position involves providing peer support to individuals in behavioral health crises, utilizing personal recovery experiences to assist consumers effectively.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and should be prepared to articulate their personal recovery journey. The role includes promoting person-centered recovery and working as part of a multidisciplinary team to implement service plans.

Qualifications

• Able to articulate personal recovery experience in peer support services.
• Valid Driver's License and proof of auto insurance are mandatory.
• Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) preferred after 2,000 hours of work.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support for consumers using personal recovery experience.
• Advocate for consumers within healthcare systems.
• Document service provision and maintain clinical records.
