Job summary

Austin Community College is seeking a Crisis Specialist for the Mobile Crisis Intervention program in Norwood, Massachusetts. The specialist will provide crisis intervention services, work with a team in a fast-paced environment, and assist clients experiencing mental health crises. This full-time position offers a pay rate of $23.33/hour, along with comprehensive benefits including health insurance and a retirement savings plan. The shift is Sunday through Thursday, 3pm to 11pm.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in mental health or related field required.
• Residential treatment and/or home-based experience preferred.
• Able to prioritize tasks while assessing for potential risk.

Responsibilities

• Support master’s-level clinicians and Triage staff in providing MCI services.
• Assist with the implementation of clinician's disposition tasks.
• Secure placements in detox and inpatient units.

Skills

Excellent telephonic communication

Intermediate computer fluency

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in mental health or related field
