Mobile Crisis Intervention Clinician

Excellent opportunity to join Riverside Community Care as a Full Time Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) Clinician! The Master’s level Clinician is an integral part of the Community Behavioral Health Center’s (CBHC) Mobile Crisis Intervention program.

MCI provides crisis intervention services 7 days per week, 24 hours per day, either on-site or mobile, to individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use challenges.

The MCI Clinician works as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide ongoing support and evaluation of Community Crisis Stabilization Unit consumers, acting as a liaison with community providers for continuity of care. Responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting crisis interventions (evaluation, stabilization, referral, follow-up) on-site, in the community, and in emergency departments.
  2. Providing ongoing support and evaluation of Community Crisis Stabilization Unit consumers.
  3. Serving as a liaison with community providers for continuity of care.
  4. Acting as a telephone triage as needed.

Orientation to MCI is provided, focusing on diagnosis, safety assessment, and resource awareness based on the level of care. Clinical supervision is available, including licensure track hours for eligible employees. Riverside offers a comprehensive staff training program with CEUs.

We are seeking candidates who meet the following requirements:

  • Master’s Degree eligible for licensure in Psychology, Social Work, or related human service field.
  • Two years of experience in mental health preferred (including internship experience).
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families is preferred for services to youth under 21.
  • Knowledge of and experience with substance use and co-occurring disorders is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for limited local travel.

Schedule: Part-time, 16 hours per week. Second shift—Monday and Saturday.

Pay Rate:

  • Unlicensed Clinician: $35.69/hour
  • Licensed Clinician: $38.25/hour
  • Additional shift differentials: $1 for evenings, $2 for overnights, and $1 for weekends.
