Job description

This position is eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Job Summary:

The Providence Center Clinical Therapist/RN, Emergency Services works on a multidisciplinary team to provide behavioral health and crisis assessment to clients at The Providence Center and in the community. Serve as support to Supervisor related to data tracking, training, supervision, and clinical consultation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Perform a comprehensive psychosocial assessment of assigned consumers.
  2. Apply knowledge of Psychiatric Diagnosis (DSM V TR).
  3. Perform and record mental status examination.
  4. Assess clinical emergencies, including suicide and danger to others.
  5. Collect pertinent data from appropriate collateral sources in accordance with confidentiality guidelines.
  6. Maintain confidentiality in accordance with TPC policy and legal requirements.
  7. Develop and present, verbally and in writing, a clear clinical formulation based on behavioral data and relevant theory while incorporating psychosocial and family issues.
  8. Conduct level of care and crisis assessments to clients and non-clients in a variety of settings including homes, shelters, street outreach, etc. Response to active police/fire scenes required with safety protocols.
  9. Collaborate with other providers, agencies, and individuals in the clients' network of care.
  10. Perform record keeping in accordance with Health Information Services and other TPC requirements.
  11. Attend trainings, case presentations and conferences.
  12. Attend mandatory in-service trainings and other trainings required for renewal of licensure.
  13. Maintain cooperative relationships with The Providence Center staff, clients, community agencies, and the public.
  14. Serve on appropriate Center committees.
  15. Provide mental health consultation to other community agencies.

Requirements:

  1. Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Human Services, or related field OR Registered Nurse (RN).
  2. QMHP eligibility required.
  3. LICSW or LMHC preferred.
  4. Bilingual Spanish preferred.
  5. Position may require driving. Must have valid driver's license, registration, current inspection, and insured automobile.
