Job summary

AMHC seeks Mobile Crisis Care Providers to join its Crisis Response Team across Aroostook, Hancock, and Washington Counties. The role delivers rapid crisis intervention, stabilization, and support in-person or via telehealth, with 24/7 availability and flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The Mobile Crisis Care Provider works closely with law enforcement, first responders, and community partners.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• MHRT-CSP certification or eligible pathways required.
• 36 months of direct behavioral health experience or equivalent.
• 30 college credits and 1,664 hours of direct behavioral health experience, or MHRT-CSP certification.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• CPR/First Aid, MANDT training, Naloxone administration, and Peer Support 101 training provided on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis evaluations, intervention, and stabilization to individuals and families.
• Coordinate crisis response with law enforcement and community agencies.
• Participate in co-response with law enforcement for assessments and custody evaluations.
• Deliver trauma-informed, client-centered crisis care.
• Develop crisis intervention plans and identify supports for individuals in crisis.
• Facilitate crisis stabilization groups in outpatient settings.
• Coordinate care with families and treatment providers for continuity of services.
• Educate communities about available crisis services and resources.
• Maintain accurate documentation of interventions and follow-up actions.
• Provide debriefing support after critical events and engage in ongoing training.
