Job summary

DeCoach Recovery Centre in Dayton, OH seeks a Behavioral Health Counselor (LSW, LPC) for a full-time role on the mobile crisis team, Monday–Friday, 11:30am–8:00pm. You will assess, treat, and support clients with behavioral health needs through individual and group counseling in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates hold a counseling or social work degree with relevant licensure/certification and a commitment to professional development.

Qualifications

• A degree in counseling, social work, or chemical depenency.
• State licensure or certification as a Mental Health Counselor or equivalent (e.g., LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW, LCDC II/III, LICDC).
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based and solution-focused approaches.
• Provide individual and group counseling to support clients' mental health and well-being.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and clinical supervision.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices.
• Provide culturally competent care and advocate for clients' needs.
• Maintain up-to-date clinical documentation per professional standards.
• Provide crisis intervention and coordinate with resources to ensure client safety.
