Job summary

DeCoach Recovery is seeking a Behavioral Health Counselor to join the Greene County Mobile Crisis Team in Fairborn, OH. This full-time professional role offers collaborative, evidence-based care to individuals facing behavioral health challenges, with weekday daytime hours.

You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, provide individual and group counseling, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, maintain documentation, and engage in ongoing professional development to support

Qualifications

• A degree in counseling, social work, or chemical dependency.
• State licensure or certification as a Mental Health Counselor or equivalent (e.g., LPC, LPCC, LISW, LICDC).
• Ability to work effectively in a team with diverse professionals.
• Strong written and verbal communication with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current in best practices.
• Ability to work independently and seek supervision when needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices.
• Provide individual and group counseling with a strengths-based, person-centered approach.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and case managers to coordinate care.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and clinical supervision to ensure quality care.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with research in mental health counseling.
• Deliver culturally competent, inclusive care and advocate for clients' needs within the org and community.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, progress notes, and treatment plans in line with standards.
• Provide crisis intervention and coordinate resources to ensure client safety and well-being.
