Job summary

American Equipment HR LLC in Elko, NV is hiring a Mobile Crane Technician for on-site service at our Elko branch. Join a 50+ year legacy delivering repairs, upgrades, and maintenance for overhead cranes and hoists.

You will perform preventative maintenance, install new crane wiring, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, and work with customers to ensure safety and reliability. Travel may be required; a company vehicle is provided.

Qualifications

• 2 years hands-on electro-mechanical maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of AC/DC theory and 480VAC 3-phase motor control.
• Willingness to work overtime and travel may be required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; pass drug screen and background.
• Comfort with working at heights and strict safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site preventive maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes.
• Consult with customers on repair and safety-related issues.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns.
• Document service reports with work performed.
• New crane wiring, assembly, installation, and start-up.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Travel may be required; work vehicle provided.

Position Summary:

Responsibilities:

• Perform on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes
• Spend time consulting with customers on repair and safety related issues
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns.
• Accurately and neatly document on the service report for the work performed.
• New crane wiring, assembly, installation, and start-up.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Travel may be required. Work vehicle provided.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of AC/DC theory, as well as the ability to troubleshoot 480VAC 3 phase motor control systems. A.A. degree or Equivalent vocational-training or experience is preferred.
• A minimum of 2-year hands-on electro-mechanical maintenance
• Aptitude for both electrical and mechanical environments as well as familiarity with mechanical and electrical equipment
• Willingness to work overtime
• Possession of a valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Must pass drug-screen and background check
• Proven commitment to safety
• Comfort with working at heights
• Experience in Variable Frequency drives and PLC programming a plus

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call or Overtime possible
