MGX Equipment Services in Salt Lake City, UT seeks a Shop Crane Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain crane equipment including mobile cranes and boom trucks. The role reports to the Branch Manager and requires strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical skills.

Candidates will receive a $2,500 sign-on bonus after 90 days and are eligible for a tool reimbursement program up to $1,500 per year. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 5+ years as a mechanic/technician.
• Experience with Grove RT/TMS, Grove GMK European, Manitowoc EPIC/traditional cranes, National Boom Trucks, Manitex Boom Trucks is a strong plus.
• Punctual, professional demeanor; promote safety and company programs.
• Valid driver’s license preferred; basic computer skills preferred.

Responsabilités

• Operate and inspect cranes to diagnose defects.
• Test mechanical, electronic, electrical and hydraulic systems after repair to OEM specs.
• Prepare parts and drawings for jobs; ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain safety compliance and proper reporting (reports, hour sheets).
• Provide strong customer service and communication with staff and clients.
• Work overtime and weekends as required.
