The-Blue-Collar-Recruiter-of-Marietta is hiring a Mobile Crane Mechanic/Technician in New York City with opportunities across NY/NJ. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair a range of crane equipment, including mobile cranes and related systems.

A strong mechanical background with electrical and hydraulic knowledge is required to maintain OEM standards and safety compliance. Sign-on and relocation options are available at select locations, with a commitment to customer service and relationship

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as Mobile Crane Mechanic/Technician to diagnose defects
• Ability to read operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints, and drawings
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
• Must follow safety requirements and regulations
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred for field techs

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain crane equipment
• Operate and inspect cranes to diagnose defects
• Test equipment after repair to OEM specs
• Prepare parts and drawings for jobs to ensure accuracy
• Document time sheets, work orders, and reports promptly
• Provide exceptional customer service and communication
• Travel 1–4 day intervals for field techs; overtime/weekends as needed

We're hiring Mobile Crane Mechanics/Technicians in New York City, with additional openings across New Jersey and other NY/NJ area locations. Job Summary

This position will inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform maintenance on various crane equipment, including mobile cranes (All Terrain, Rough Terrain, Crawler Cranes, Boom Trucks, knuckle booms, bucket trucks, etc.). Mechanical experience required with electrical and hydraulics.

It is part of this role's responsibility to help grow the business by identifying new opportunities and contributing to the development of customer relationships and market presence.

Candidates will be required to take a skill assessment as part of the interview/hiring process.

Key Responsibilities

• A minimum 2 years of experience as a Mobile Crane Mechanic/Technician that can operate and inspect cranes in order to diagnose defects
• Demonstrates working knowledge of CANBUS, PAT, EKS, ECOS, LICCON, and Greer systems
• Examines parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges
• Reads and understands operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Tests mechanical, electronic, electrical, and hydraulic products and equipment after repair or modification to ensure proper operation and compliance with OEM specifications
• Prepares for jobs by checking parts and drawings for accuracy and completeness
• Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision
• Maintains conformity to safety requirements, manufacturer procedures, and other regulations
• Properly fills out working reports, hour's reports, time sheets, work orders, and other company and customer paperwork in a timely and efficient manner
• Must complete expense reports in a timely manner as dictated by company policy
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work overtime and weekends is a plus. Travel is required periodically for 1 to 4-day intervals for field techs. Shop technicians work 40-50 hours/week; field technicians work 40-80 hours/week depending on customer needs
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record required for field technician positions - CDL preferred

History of working with different forms of mobile crane equipment, specifically:

• Grove RT and TMS Cranes
• Grove GMK European Cranes
• Manitowoc, Liebherr, Terex, Palfinger, IMT, Cormach, National, Demag, Manitex, and similar equipment
