Job summary

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an experienced Mobile Crane Operator to support active construction projects across Central and Eastern Pennsylvania and Northern Maryland. This Direct Hire opportunity requires NCCCO certification, CDL Class A, and proven crane operation experience.

You will operate a mobile hydraulic crane, comply with DOT regulations, and coordinate with installation crews on-site. Competitive pay, sign-on bonus up to $10,000, and strong benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• NCCCO Crane Operator Certification with TLL and TSS endorsements.
• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean MVR.
• Experience operating mobile hydraulic cranes or heavy equipment.
• Strong understanding of construction site safety and crane hand signals.
• Ability to arrive on time consistently and maintain dependable attendance.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 30 pounds frequently.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and tolerate noise from heavy equipment.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively with team members.

Responsibilities

• Operate a mobile hydraulic crane to lift, move, and place materials such as wall panels and construction components.
• Drive the crane truck to and from jobsites while complying with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
• Safely set up crane operations, including placing cribbing under outriggers to stabilize the crane during lifts.
• Review jobsites for potential safety concerns and communicate findings with the Install Foreman and crew.
• Exercise authority to stop work if unsafe conditions are present.
• Follow hand signals and instructions from installation crew members during lifting operations.
• Assist with site preparation, including shoveling dirt or stone when required to support crane setup.
• Break down crane setup and pack up cribbing and equipment at the end of each job.
• Perform daily inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and routine maintenance on crane equipment.
• Maintain clear communication with team members and customers while on site.
