Colonna’s Shipyard, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Crane Operator to support operations in Norfolk, VA. The role requires NCCCO mobile crane certification, extensive crane-operating experience, and the ability to work at heights in shipyard environments.

Responsibilities include operating multiple crane types, inspecting equipment, and coordinating load handling with the team to ensure safety and efficiency. Eligible candidates must meet HS diploma and training requirements; daily duties may include

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years crane operating experience.
• NCCCO mobile crane certification is required.
• Ability to work at heights and in shipyard conditions.
• Experience operating cranes such as 60T–110T mobiles and various other cranes.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile and hydraulic portal cranes in a safe and effective manner.
• Inspect crane for defects and notify supervisor of malfunctions.
• Coordinate with team to move loads, observe safety procedures, and follow instructions.
