Job summary

Superior Skilled Trades seeks an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic for mobile crane repair. You will diagnose, maintain, and repair cranes and heavy equipment directly at active jobsites across TX, NM, OK, with full‑time travel involved.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of mechanical experience, strong diesel, hydraulic, and electrical repair skills, and the ability to read manuals and diagrams. Willingness to travel and meet safety standards is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical experience, preferably with cranes or heavy equipment.
• Strong experience troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
• Experience with tower cranes or other crane equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on cranes and heavy equipment at active jobsites.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine issues.
• Inspect crane systems, booms, brakes, engines, and other major components to identify defects and determine necessary repairs.
• Repair, replace, and rebuild damaged or worn parts and equipment components.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, hydraulic systems, and mechanical assemblies.
• Test equipment after repairs to verify safe and proper operation.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and equipment diagrams.
