Job summary

CraneWorks is seeking a Field Service Technician in San Marcos, CA to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain various crane equipment. The role requires mechanical experience with electrical and hydraulic systems, and involves travel for 1–4 day intervals.

You will support customer relationships and growth in market presence while adhering to safety and OEM specifications. The position reports to the Service Manager in a service-focused department, with hours that vary by workload; CDL preferred

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mobile Crane Mechanic/Technician to diagnose defects and operate cranes

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain crane equipment including mobile cranes
• Read and interpret manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and drawings
• Test equipment after repair to ensure OEM compliance
• Maintain safety, quality and regulatory standards
• Prepare reports, time sheets and paperwork promptly
• Provide exceptional customer service and communication
• Travel 1–4 day intervals as needed; 40–80 hour weeks for field technicians
